I have been thinking about changing up my wallpaper on my computer. I currently have the Babylon 5 space station up and a connect to that website for other options and Star Trek and all that, but i thoughjt about totally changing it. There are some real magnificent paintings of warships and I was wondering if anyone knew of a site where I might be able to download for wall paper.

Try Desktop Starships if you want to stay in the 'trek' theme.

Here's the link: Desktop Starships

If you want warships, try this one:

Widescreen Stuff

If you like modern stuff try the Navy's Photo Galleries. Google's Life Image Archive has some good stuff if you can search well, such as this shot of Iowa or this shot of the Fleet anchored at Lahaina Roads, Maui.

I have the Desktop Starshps....that is where I got the Babylon 5 stuff

What I am looking for is some of those magnicent paintings like on the boxes of models of World War 2 stuff. I know Robert Taylor did some regreat paintings of German and British stuff, but figure a ot of that is really protected with copyrights and all that.

Check out Model Story. The person who makes the photos takes really models of ships and planes and makes them into photo realistic composite pictures.
