I've started to re-enter the 1/700 arena after a break, and have been experimenting with the photo etch from various manufacturers. I recently purchased the Flyhawk 1/700 Essex kit, which is very impressive, and a bit daunting. My questions are;

1. The instructions are a bit spotty, some illustrations are clear, others show the part but not the anticipated location or replacement on the model (some gun tubs or observation platforms, for one). Is there any information or illustrations available that show these parts and locations in greater detail?

2. What are some good references for the carriers to aid in the construction/detailing?

I intend to work on 2 models (dragon's Essex and Hornet). It's my hope that if I can work the kinks out of the first construction, I'll be able to photo-document the second.
