Hey got a couple of these in today. Here's wht I liked. They have extra parts so you can build a few of the varieties that were made. Such as one with an expanded back section behind the conning tower (wintergarden ?). I've got the regular Type VIIc and the special anti-aircraft version. Aftrr i get a closer look at parts, I may go out and buy a couple more to expand my collection a bit. I also got a Type IXb that looks super and I've had the venerable TypeX XI for a while.

The Flagman boats got good reviews - and I agree on the variaty in the box - try and take a look at AFV clubs VII B - I like the Photoetch comming with it.

Oh, its hard - nice offerings in 1:700, 1:350, 1:144 and 1:72, which scale to focus on ??

I just do 350 as this puts all my ships in proportion. As a kid we built "box scale" and of course played with them now it is kind of cool o look at the difference in sizes. Destroyes ae a lot smaller than i thought when compared with cruisers and submarines

I've got plenty of left over phot etch to put on when I build the kits. I got the Bronco Type IXb which had the photo etch. Nice to have it.

The new Revell Type VIIc is nice to, but fewer options. Awesome fit though.

For years I wondered why no 350 scale german subs. You could get those 400 scale ones which were pretty good for the $8 they cost. Now they are popping out of the Woodwork in 350 scale. Lots of types and choices. Ain't it grand.
