I've been told that flat coat takes care of small shiny glue spots and take the shine off decals, and I was curious what brand you guys recommend and what techniques that I should use (I've never used this before). I'm going to a show this weekend and I wanna make sure the models look as good as possible. Thanks. Brian M.

Hi Brian,
My dull coat of choice is Tamiya Flat Base mixed with Future.
Here is the formulas:
1 part flat base to 3 parts Future = very flat
1 part flat base to 10 parts Future = flat
1 part flat base to 15 parts Future = satin
Hope this helps.
Kenny
