Looks very nice. I wish they would've included a waterline option.

I kind of limit myself on modern stuff as there is so much fantastic WW2 out now, but this one may be added to the collection. She can sail with My Nimitz, New Jersey, and Tico.

David, it's injected light grey color plastic, 1 part hull, flight deck is 1 part as well wrapped up in foam packing.

There are alot of parts lol just started messing with it last night... doing more posting of photos on My FB page though than anywhere else on the net.

Waiting on the AM stuff from JAG, WEM and Hawk

I see brass railings too. One piece deck is always a welcome item. I think I'll try to pick one of these up on discount....it far exceeds what little budget I have left

I'm not much of a ship builder, but my first Wasp was almost a box-shaker (where you drop in a bottle of glue and some paint, shake the box and a nice-looking model comes out). It was such a great experience (with no aftermarket stuff outside of a few helicopters) that I plan to get another one as soon as WEM's brass comes out. I did get the JAG deck vehicles set but haven't painted them yet. Seriously, this model went together like no other I ever built.

Lee, would you possible post a photo of the JAG set ?? I'm looking at getting it for Mine, but Alan said that they were out currently this week to check back later.. I saw the built up versions of the telli crane* I think that's what it's called/spelled* would like to see what it looks like before things are put together.

I'll see if I can't take a few pix tonight. They're gorgeous li'l bits of resin, though I'm not sure I'll have the courage to attack the Tilly right away. Imagine, pre-cut window masks in 1/350 scale!!!

Apologies if I am being a bit hard of thinking here, (nothinhg unusual there ) but is this the same kit as has appeared in the UK in a Revell box, the same kit plus some, or something new??

Just asking cos I have managed so far to resist the tempation, but if this is even better, it is going to be even harder, ifit is the same I think I can hold out

Yes, it was released in Europe by Revell, and I think it has a third different boxing in Asia - originally Fujimi but now some other company. It looks very much like a Trumpeter model; someday maybe they'll explain why it wasn't released as a Trumpeter model in the first place.

I got the model a few months ago because the detail is fantastic. Planes and other vehicles are 40+ and I started assembling these before the base model because i fear never getting there otherwise.
I too have been awaiting any AM parts although the kit come with some. have you or anyone found any because i haven't found a thing.

thanks

Hi Jerry

Check White Ensign models, I believe the Wasp is quite high up their priority list
