I just finished a very small plastic kit of the Mayflower with my 3yr old son.

Unfortunately, two hours later my 1yr old got ahold of it - needless to say the Mayflower is no more.

That will teach me to be more careful where I put the finished models.

Kids and /or pets plus models equals disaster.

Isn't that the truth.

I think as long as I keep it out of my 1yr old's reach I should be ok.

The Mayflower II will soon be sailing!!

Don't be too sure. The only model I've had wrecked since getting back into the hobby my wife destroyed. You've got to keep EVERYBODY away from them.

I feel your pain for the Mayflower though.

Yeah!!! What do you say about those ladies cleaning the house? They clean the models too, taking the dust off the model, together with the details as tiny as the dust!!! You first get then #:-) and soon

The only solution is never to build anything that you can't put in a display case away from the dustmites that attract pledge weilding wives! When I remembered all my father's models that I destroyed in mock dog fights when he wasn't looking, I realized how my models mysteriously lost propellers and masts!

Maybe Saddam should of had his army manned (childed) with only 3 year olds and wives. Probably the most destructive forces in the universe!

I have a 48 scale B-17 that takes a licking and still keeps ticking. That poor old thing has had more than it's share of falls, Problem is I don't think they make the decal sheet for Little Miss Miscief anymore so I can't replace it...not that my time schedule would permit
