According to Academy, they will release, new tooling, in 350th scale, HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH R Class battleship. No date indicated. But there it is, finally for all you RN fans, a break in your direction.

Sorry, its not an R class BB, my mistake there. and its a between the wars version, which will give the Resin Aftermarket folks a whole new project or two in providing modern upgrades to WWII, right???

Between the wars Queen Elizabeth class? They couldn't make it a 1940 Warspite? Still sign me up for it.

"Recent Tirpitz?" The only Tirpitz kits from Academy I'm familiar with are a motorized toy, in some odd scale, and a 1/350 I think is a cheap knockoff of a Tamiya from several years ago.

If it's as good as their Graf Spee it should be a decent kit.

If this kit does come out, and it sells as well as I think it will, it might just convince other manufacture res that it doesn't have to fly the swastika, the rising sun, or the stars and stripes in order to sell.

Not to be insulting, but where is the confimation. Any pictures. I would love to add one of these to the small but growng RN ships I am building.

Fordboy has also just posted it as a news item, along with a picture of the box art.

Well, it's about time the RN got its day in the injection-molded sun! This is some of the most exciting ship news I've heard in a while (honestly).

Hmmm...

Come on Trumpeter, you aced Academy with a nicer Graf Spee, are you going to let them get away with this without coming out with a nicer Queen Elizabeth, i.e. Warspite?
