Interseting choice the Independence class. While a light carrier still not one of the jeep carriers like the Casblance or Bogue class. I think I'll pick up the Scharnhorst and the Z class DD, but will probably pass on the Indepenence. Besides, w have to see what else wanders down the pike this year what with the Elizabeth BB and the Roma in the works

Awesome! And Gator's Masks and More has all the camouflage measures for the Independence class.

Personally, the 1/350 CVL-22 is quite exciting to me, and this one will definitely make it into my stash...I had alot of fun with DML's 1/700 version of the Independence, and her big sister should be twice the fun! (get ready Gator! )
From the early previews, looks like a promising build, can't wait to see as more news unfolds until release...again, it is a good time to be a ship modeler, with 2010 looking to be as exciting as 2009 was!
Cheers,
~Gunny

I'm interested in seeing the Independence also. For two reasons. One I'm beginning to like building carriers, being a bout 2/3 trough my Hornet. Two, this gives DML a nice Cleveland class cruiser hull. Maybe they will use is for something else, like a Cleveland class cruiser?

This is great news for the 1/350 guys, and eventually for the 1/700 guys as well. It will be great to see an accurate Zerstorer DD down the road.
