Hi all,

I'm back after a long time away.
New project is underway and will be my first attempt at a seascape/diorama. This is the hole in the 'sea' that is awaiting a hull and a very messy buisness it was to cut out! Just ask my partner, she loved it as did the hoover!!

So what will fit in a hole shaped like this?

Well, judging by the shape of the bow entry, the length-to-beam proportions, and the rounded and gently-sloping stern exit, it appears to be a capital ship. My nominee is a Bismarck/Tirpitz.

Have to agree there: hull looks very similar to the Tirpitz hull shape on my work bench.

Okay, then, it's probably the Royal Navy's KGV.

Ok here we go, mystery over.

Been on this for a while now, there is a long way to go yet and the hull weathering is just the first 'pass' for want of a better word. Apologies for the poor photo's they are taken on my mobile till i can get my camera sorted out.

Comments welcomed, good or bad as they are all good in the long run, if ya see what i mean?

I think we have the basis for a fun contest type. Reminds me of the old game show "What's My Line?"

Hi all,

Weathering the hull continues....it's difficult to get an overall view of the whole effect as this thing is a biggun'. Hopefully the pics will show what i'm trying to achieve...a used look but not too over the top.
