I just got Zvezda's 1/350 battleship Knyaz Suvorov and have been looking at getting photo etch for it. Gold Medal Models and White Ensign Models both have PE for it, and around the same price. GMM's also includes a sheet for Zvezda's cruiser Varyag. I am having a hard time deciding which one to get. I have used GMM before, and think they are great. I was hoping someone has some experience with this kit and the available PE sets.

Well, mate, I have built this kit, along with using GMM's PE upgrades, and together, made for an enjoyable build...I haven't used WEM's PE set for the dedicated vessel, so it would not be fair for me to make a true comparison...

Any idea what was used for the rolled up torpedo nets?

Other manufactures give you more parts for the money, but you can't beat the quality of Gold Medal Models photo-etch. They give you all the necessary parts to build a beautiful model, where other manufactures sets you probably won't use most of the little tiny bits that come in the set anyway.
