That's glorious work, Jan. The crew figures as well have a sense of individuality. It's too bad the lower hull had to be sacrificed for a waterline depiction, but your realism made it worthwhile.

Jan, Absolutely beautiful work ! You did a great job capturing the worn, tired appearance of both the boat and crew. Plus in 1/72 scale that is a huge undertaking ! Definitely impressive. Bruce

Jan, this is pretty cool Dio. A friend gave me this kit as a gift and I have yet to build a ship. I'm thinking about doing a waterline version of it as well. So, it mean I too will have to cut it. I saw a picture of one being pulled in by two tug boats into harbor with American flag flying above the German. I think I am going to try and replicate it into the model.
