What a beautiful rendering of a beautiful ship. The peacetime livery is unrivaled in showing the details of such a complex structure and the rigging is really eye-catching.

An excellent rendering.

Just wondering if you were a little rushed on this one, several of the rails are either squashed or over-hanging, is there a reason for both anchors to simply be suspended in mid-air ? Although held by chain, I can't imagine any ship of this size having both bashing about unscured. Also, what happened to the aircraft ? Paint work is nice, decking is great and would still love to see you build a diorama.
Not being harsh with your build, just honest.

I've got this kit in the stash. Tell me what goodies you used. I think I have a set of main gun tubes and the crane and railing PE that comes with the kit (YEA Trumpeter) Been loking at one of the wooden deck sets....I really love that stuff. Also some instructions on what you did to backdate....if anything

The only goodies i have used are the brass barrels i got spare from my upgrade set for Hood (it gives you 16, 8 with blast bags and 8 without) generic railing and ladders from Lion Roar and the resin figures.Everything else comes from the kit. Also i forgot to mention the 2 twin turrets at the back are a generous gift from P.Reeder .

The deck is painted , as i think the plastic part has very nice detail already that with a bit of careful painting will look very convincing.

By the way this was NOT a commission, i just fancied building it.

Alec, railing is fine now.It is amazing but taking pictures and studying them reveals so much more that seems to escape the eye when giving the final inspection before the photo shoot.

The anchors are at mid air as the ship is rather stationary as you can see so no danger there.

Kostas-
Beautifully build!
I had put off building her and didn't buy the kit initially.
After seing your build yesterday, today I have put out my order.
Cheers,
Gudio

Superb job Kostas, you have built her at the same time frame as I would have, very handsome model indeed.

Only thing I'm not so sure about is your rather colourful backdrops!
