I guess this issue should be coming out shortly. I dropped my subscription yers ago, but still get emails. So I voted something like 5 times in the poll. My hope is that someone who gets the magazine or can get the info will share with us the results of the poll for the ships. I think I requested the Baltimore as my 350 scale pick and a 35th early Elco PT boat

the 350 Arizona and Nimitz are both in existence. So the polls seem to have a pretty good effect on the manufacturers. Seems most of the 48th scale planes are also in existence

I just got my FSM in the mail.... the results are underwhelming as they lack specifics. Interesting that the most popular scale was 1/350, followed by 1/72, with 1/700 next (according to the editors, they processed circa 25,000 answers).
In order of voting, for each scale
1/35 - PT boat, Vietnam riverine craft, Vosper patrol boat, "landing craft", LCAC
1/72 - U-boats, PT boats, Vietnam Riverine craft, Fairmile patrol boats, landing ships
1/144 - U-boats, LA-class subs, Tribal-class DD, LST, Gearing-class DD
1/350 - USS Enterprise (CV6), USS Midway (CV41), USS TExas, USS Essex (CV-9), Graf Zeppelin
1/700 - USS Midway (CV41), USS Essex (CV-9), USS Texas, USS Alaska, USS Enterprise (CV6)
Other scales - PT boats

I am perplexed by some of the entries... I think the Dragon Essex in 700 is a very fine and affordable kit. I also wish to have seen something non-military, or with a sail.... Anyways, there is the list!

I'm confused by the CV-9 Essex unless it's a typo and they were referring to a post-war angle-deck. Trumpeter already did a 350th CV-9....

Tracy - I went back to my FSM issue... #4 in 1/350 scale is listed as "USS Essex (CV-9, angled deck). #2 in 1/700 is listed as "USS Essex (CV-9, angled deck).
so, it seems that you picked up that detail, they are talking about the angled deck... sorry to have left that detail on my haste to re-type the highlights of the poll.

you are right....this year the results are pretty underwhelming. The only thing in 350 wouyld be the Midway to catch my fancy. I voted for an early ELco in 35th
James I would be interested in the 48th scale aircraft and 35th scale armor results

thanks the A-3 was my choice and I wuld love to have an M103...I think my choice there was an M-60 AVLB I'm a wee bit curious over the B-17 and P-61 as they have been out for decades and are decent kits
