That is my kind of aircraft set. Plus they might look good on the new Akagi kit.

Thanks Ken!

They look really nice but, isn't this kind of cheating in a way? Especially if somebody tries to pass them as there own in a contest???

They do look good if a bit toy like, and doesn't it rather defeat the object of being a modeller?

Thanks for the info!
Canopy frames and prop blades seem a tad on the thick side of things ??

I have the Lion Roar 1:700 IJN Carrier-Based Aircraft set, which comes with PE props and undercarriage. More of a pain to build and paint, but I think looks a tad better.

Just my two pence

It looks to me like the main body isn't painted, just the details have been painted on. I believe this isn't a good look in most modeling genres and a serious modeler would need to correct this anyway. While the canopies are well done the color should of been a light blue. This would of given the illusion of the sky reflecting off the glass plus the internal color of the Japanese Navy planes was light blue.

is that a sticker on the green plane's (a Kate?) tail?

Great idea if these were float aircraft as well, judging by the finish on these aircraft, its not that good and decals even worse, however for those that find building 1-700 aircraft, perhaps a God send, and maybe these will inprove with another produce of other aircraft in the near future.
