Another Big German destroyer, I'll take that & the Albany, pity it's not 1/350th, But I am getting tempted back into 1/700th by that Those converted cruisers with big tower bridge, so ugly they are beautiful.

All good stuff

pity no RN, but good stuff.

I agree it is a pity the RN gets stiffed again. There is still hope. It also does make sense that Dragon would add a second German DD and a Second CVL. It is also a little suprising that they have not yet released the second "Ugly Sister."

Looking forward for that 700 scale Albany.. If it is as good as recent modern navy models by Dragon/Cyber Hobby it's a winner!

On the other hand, I think that the bias nowadays from major plastic manufacturers is 350th, it has a open ocean (pun intended!) of options to make and cash in!
But it will make other modelers happy

I am sticking to 700th scale and still have a lot to learn, build and to enjoy/have fun!

Thanks for sharing Jim
Cheers,
Rui

I hear you about the Ablany.

It does seem the major companies are looking more toward 350 for the "big" releases.

I will predict that Dragon will probably come out with a Leahy or Belknap in 700 next.

Then of course there are plenty of WWII cruisers to do as well.

At prime portal, there are images of most major announcements... most notable:

RM Roma (kit shown) 1/350 - Trumpeter

RN Warspite (1/350) - Hasegawa (IIRC)
RN Queen Elizabeth, 1941 (1/350) - Trumpeter (IIRC)

IJN Tone (1/350) - Tamiya

So basically the RN is still missing the Revege-class and Nelson-class (at least where WW II is concerned).

I am awaiting permission to use the photos. Don't wanna ruffle any feathers.

I was very glad to see those ships being shown off.
