Ahoy there Shipmates,
I need your assistance.
I've started building Trumpeters most excellent 1/700 Bismarck.
However I'm having issues with the deck joins (seams??)
What is the best way to eliminate the seams without losing the deck plank detail?
This is my first ship build so please be gentle with me.
Cheers
Chris

If you use a little filler mixed with some fingernail polish remover it will allow it to fill the seams and give you a softer material to work with once its dry. Use a cotton swab soaked in the fingernail polish remover to clean up the area around the seem before the putty dries, this will help the most in preserving the delicate deck details. You may have to use a couple of applications, but if done right you shouldn't even have to sand or scrape anything. This works well with Squadron white and green putties, and should work well with Tamiya and Gunze as well.
On a side note, I had used ultra thin super glue one 1/700 hulls before and it's very difficult to control on such a small scale ship.

If you can find it Mr Surfacer 1000 is a very thin liquid filler. Put it on with a toothpick and after kind of gently rub your fingr ovr it to wipe off excess
