Julian,
My compliments on some very effective antifouling... the old tub already looks as if it has spent months at sea! You will do an equally fine paint job on the decks too, I am sure. Gotta love those Borodinos, so ugly they have a beauty all their own.
(by the way, nice Kettenkrad in the background!)
regards,
Tim

Thank you very much Tim, the compliment means very much to me after seeing the amazing build you did of the Olympia. The Kettenkrad is the Esci/Italeri/Revell
model in 1/9th scale:

Thanks Mark but the Borodino is going on hold for the time being. I'll be joining Jan Klarbaek on his thread where we will both be building a Trumpeter 1/200 Bismarck,
cheers,
Julian

Hi Simon,
Superstructure and hull are supposed to be black. I was planning to do some shading with black and smoke to darken the Vallejo German Grey I used for the build. This will have to wait until I get the Bismarck build out of my system

 ( since I was 7 years old I have built models of the Bismarck several times. This is the most fantastic model I have ever seen. I am 56 years old, I have some heart problems etc. I am going to build the Bismarck right now

 )
Cheers mate,

Thanks fo the explaination Julian, looking again, it will need to be darker, but I think you have a great base.
Keeping an eye on your Bismarck build too.
