I am seeing on ebay the 1/350 USS Enterprise by mini-hobbies/trumpeter. The box art shows her with the original Beehive superstructure. Is this correct? Or is it just a cheap rehash of the original Tamiya kit and has the regular square one? Only care about the beehive..i have a Tamiya in stash.

on ebay there are 2 kits one wit original island (beehive) and the other with the present (square) island. I saw they had different kit numbers. But yea a pic would definitely be helpful. Also if you would give the kit number

Thanks for all that. He might be the one selling it on ebay because the price is the same as I ran up with the one you gave me///$45 shipping. Right now there is one on a bid starting at $50 with free shipping so I'll wait and see how that goes.

If there is a little sign at the bottom of the box in the photos it is sell_model aka my model supermarket.. I have bought heaps from him as well. I can't see the $50 and free postage one though.

When did this kit come out? I liked the bee hive Enterprise much better than the square island one. Wonder how close the bee hive kit is to the actual ship.

Not sure when it was released but I have read it is a knock off of the Tamiya kit. I am not sure if that is true as the island is nothing like the Tamiya one. The box art certainly looks dated as the F-14s doing the flyover look very distorted and the FFG cruising near the Enterprise looks like it is going to colide with her.

It s been out for a number of years. I saw one a long time ago on ebay but I had just gotten the Tamiya and they wanted around $100 plus shipping for the minihobbies. Now they are a cheap as dirt which suits me fine as I will just use the Beehive onto the Tamiya. Lucky my Phantoms arent glued down on the Nimitz anymore. I can put them on Enterprise and put the F14's and 18's on the Nimitz
