Did the Yamato ever participate in any battles at night? I am locked between my Tirpitz and this one. I don't know which one to build, but I would like to know info on this one also.

wow...that's more info than you could ever want. I believe the only time the Yamato truely saw combat was the attack againnst Taffy 3 i n the Suriago straights. The US won the battle by running off this mighty force with jeep carriers and destroyers. The Tirpitz had about the same level of a career as she spent most of the time in a Norwegian fjord because Hitler didn't want a repeat of the Bismarck fiasco.
