Just recieved confirmation from Hobby-Space that my Vosper PE has dispatched. They have also sent a tracking number so I can follow my PE on it's journey from the other side of the globe.
Nice

My Griffon set came today. I got the lower detail one but there are still16 pages of instructions on Letter size paper.19 small PE frets, 3 sizes of styrene rod , five sizes of copper wire, two types of thread a piece of film and 6 resin parts!
I hate to think what the advanced set has in it. I think I will have to get that one as well! If you would like pictures I can scan the frets tomorrow. Just say the word.
Maybe we can have a group build thread like the Bismarck??
Cheers

Welcome to the contest of the Channel!!!! Jejej
Already serian 2 Bospers faced a Schnellboot ...... trust in my sailors that we will do the better thing for sowing our mines and escape to "Le Havre " live and knocking .......

PS. Surely we will end up by feasting in... "Dulce Rose" ...... |

Hi Warren,
apparently my set arrived at Schiphol last week and is trying to manoeuver through customs
Daniel and I are planning a combined build here after the Summer. Idea is to do a Channel Adversaries build with Daniel building the Italeri 1/200 S-100 and me finally dusting off the Vosper. You would be welcome I am sure Is your Griffon set the BPN35001? that is what Hobby Space has sent me.
cheers,
Julian

See? Daniel is already in a café in France ready to fire up his dockyard. All the Frog bike's being nicked by his crewmen, ( you can pick out his crewmen by the red "Budgie-smugglers" with a swastika on the fly)

No need to scan the frets Warren, but thanks for the offer. I pulled the pic's from the Griffon site and have been drooling over them daily.
What are your crewmen doing in the Dulce Rode Daniel? Everyone in Le Havre goes to Lola's, also known as the Iron triangle............
My crew go to a very cosy pub called "Roger the Rabbit" which in this case is a name and not a team sport...........

I must admit that the girls that hang around the "Roger the Rabbit" do need a shave, and they do talk with very deep voices but that probably comes from working in a Cornish tin-mine during the day...............

Yes Sir, mine is the 35001 item. I thought you may have got the even more complicated set.
Anyway, enough of this talk about bearded ladies in budgie smugglers I am off to the Titanic for few more hours.
Just remember who won the war...
Cheers

The Griffon PE set arrived today, packed crash free and cocooned insome amazingly sticky tape. It is gob-smackingly gorgeous stuff. Sheet after sheet of magnificently etched PE.
I spent about 20 minutes just drooling of the box contents.
More to follow,
Julian

Magnificent set:

Quite a bargain from Hobby-space at 88 Euros including packing. Same set is in pre-order from Der Sockelshop for 175 Euros. It is a very intimidating add-on though

Hi Daniel, when I took the parcel out of the mailbox I thought they had sent me a brick. It is heavy
I'll try and get some pictures up this weekend.
I now have all the add-ons I need to start the build exept for some crewmen, (they all sneaked of to the "Roger the Rabbit" for a pint and a Cornish pasty). I think I might order some new crewmen from "Wee Friends" after my holiday. How are you and Warren fitted out? Both ready to start up the build after the holiday or do we wait a bit longer to finish the current projects?
Cheers,
Julian

Warren will have to sell one of his cars so that he has parking space for the Mighty Mo, that thing is seriously big.
