does anyone know what has happened to long awaited 1/350 kit of the hood by icm?

The long and the short of it seems "don't hold your breath."
Drat, when I saw your post about a new 1/350th Hood I started drooling. Other than paying huge bucks for a resin kit I would give a lot to have a GOOD HMS Hood, in a real scale, i.e. 1/350, and have her look like she did when she met the Bismarck. I can't understand why plastic manufacturers have NOT done a good Hood up to now. Along with the Bismarck the Hood has got to one of the most famous ships in WWII. Why, or why, doesn't Tamiya make a 1/350 Hood, 1941 rig?

Its sad, but I did here that ICM did go belly up. The Hood would have been a hot seller for them. Lets just hope that strong companies like Trumpeter and Panda with bring this grand old ship out in a 1/350 model.

That's too bad, But I've heard ICM quality was nothing to brag about, so maybe it was for the best.
