Thanks Kev.
I finally found some rest after a very chaotic day. Just take a warm bath, my mom allways told me.
Anyway, modeling goes on when I find the time and rest over there.

Cheers,

RJ

Hi guys.

promissed some pics from the Noordborg and the little Harbor Tug.
The Amsterdam meets the Coaster Noordborg
Both vessels are sold to some very nice people.
This afternoon I'm saying goodbye to them.
There are some pics left for later this week.

Enjoy...

Cheers,

RJ

Both ships are ful resin with PE details.
Not a beginners kit. They were at the dock for almost 5 years.
The kick off to finish is my sell off on MP. People love the Artitec brand for H0 modeltrains. But the resin kits are just a risk because of the big prices and faillure when building them.
It's blood sweat & tears. Strong words once in a while and the house is all dusty from snading and scraping the resin to fit.

Cheers,

RJ

Evidently the strong words worked magic Robert Jan, the result of both vessels is excellent. Thank you for letting us enjoy the builds.

Thanks Julian.
Last one was a real joy to put some life in by weathering.
Used PE nameplates Amsterdam from little a H0m Backer & Rueb tram.
More to come from the shipyard though. A Zuiderzee Botter will see the IJsselmeer soon. Dedicated to my big friends father in law.

Cheers,

RJ

So a goodbye to the Coaster this afternoon. The guy was a bit emotional, got him back to memorylane. I'm happy to help someone. Gives me a kick.

Harbor Tug is also ready. Destination Delfzijl.

Some last pictures from the Artitec challenge.

Bye...bye...

Next stop is a little dockyard where a Botter, Dutch traditional fishing boat, has been restored.

Cheers,

RJ

I love the hull finish and the rigging hardware in particular. This project's transcending being model and becoming a miniature!

Thanks Julian.
Picked up a new ship in Thailand. Very different from this Coaster.
Start a topic later this month. First my paint and weathering stuff, which I ordered, has to arrive. Seen a new Artitec Noordborg is on it's way by Michael.
