So what is actually out there...availabale for purchase... not planned for the future? I have seen the 3 Eduard sets and a wood deck. Anything else? NOt really desiring to butcher the kit up to much to use all of that (got the one Ed set that concentrated on the tower). Really wanting a deck gun. Was hoping for a metal deck ala the Type Vll that came out 8 years ago as I don't desire to drill out all the btwn the slats...limber holes will be troublesome enough

Ahoy Steve,
As Bill mentionned in his review on the Type IX C:

1.) Three from Eduard (53106, 53107 & 53108)
2.) A complete brass deck and fixtures and replacement 105mm deck gun
from RC Subs
3.) Periscopes and FlaK barrels from Schatton-Modellbau
4.) Brass fittings, including propellers from Tehnoart Models

I have contacted RC Sub, a fellow by the name Oto Gerza and he
sells the deck (brass and a resin) deck gun....not cheap but
looks well worth the money.

Cheers,
Joe

Thanks for that Joe. I placed my order cost $143 with fees and shipping for the gun and deck. After I saw teh pics he sent me I had no qualms about spending that much money.... a heck of a lot more that the kit itself.....lol

Darren directed me to the link of RC Subs and had me do a news piece for it earlier today, and posted it:

I contact Oto and he sent me a bunch more pictures and the sets look outstanding. He's really pumped that he got noticed this side of the Atlantic.

I'm putting up a follow up news item tomorrow with the new pictures.

Oto seems very nice and excited about the interest in his products.

Griffon Models makes a nice set for the guns. Their web site is down at the moment but they're around.
