I wish they would do a 1/350 HMS Nelson. 1/200 is just so big and expensive.

Agreed, Greg!

1/200 is just too expensive, and then throw a few after market bits n pieces at it, paint, and so on and it soon adds up. I'd much rather buy a few smaller 1/350 kits than one big 1/200 kit...

Oh well... Maybe they'll downsize it at some point...

Oh man - how much would I have loved a NELSON in 1/350....I am making absolutely no statement as to 'the perfect scale' or crap like that, it's just for me...1/700 is too tiny for me to handle and 1/200 (for major units) is just too big for my shipyard and shelves...too sad, i'd be wiling to spend some money on a 1/350 NESLON/RODNEY....

I'd rather have the 1/700 1939 Valiant.

Both Nelson and Rodney are to be released in 1/350 next year, ( so is a 1/200 King George V ). Boystown Military ( google them ) had a special offer of the two kits together with brass, and wooden decks for pre-order. Now sold out and the offer gone, I am on the waiting list in case of anyone cancelling.

Hi Steve,

Trumpeter will be releasing the Texas and New York next year in 1/350, so it's doubtful they're abandoning it. I'd reckon they'll be very popular kits!

Fingers are crossed that they follow up with the 1/350 Nelson.

Alan, I wouldn't be holding my breath with Boys' Town Military pre-orders... Not to put a downer on their promises, but a lot of people are skeptical about them...

Don't know what's gone on with BTMM but they have actually foretold of these kits, even if they have yet to deliver.
One can only assume that all those 'out-of-office-business-trips' endlessly mentioned on their website were possibly to Trumpeter-China in the hope that they could negotiate some kind of pre-release deal for resale under infamous 'ltd edition' pre-order conditions through their other 'members-only' website.

For those who poo-poo'd any notions of new Nelson/Rodney/ new KGV series kits, this must have come as something of a surprise.

Even if you don't believe BMM, these ships, and others they have mentioned WILL come!

Anyone for a 1/350 Ark Royal perchance? I reckon it's coming, maybe not from BMM, but it's coming - it HAS TO!

As for me, a 1/350 Nelson/Rodders will do just fine.
1/200? I'll leave that to the R/C boys.

The 1/200 Nelson kit is now showing as being available from UK retailers - Anyone got one yet? If so, how about a review?

My guess is that the USA etc will have to wait another month, with April being mentioned on US-based retailers websites.

The 1/350 HMS Rodney kit is also due out this year but not sure when.
I'll be having one of those!
