This is surprising, since I think most of us were expecting an early IXC to go with the current "late" one of U-505, including the use of a deck gun and earlier towers. But this is a grand bit of news and I'm sure it will get submariners like me saving our pennies.

For myself, I'm still hoping to see a B1 type IJN submarine in 1/72 someday. I'm hoping Round 2 will pick up Lindberg's plan on the kit now that the bought their line of kits.
