Hello, here are some pictures from my Revell Schlachtschiff Tirpitz in 1/700. There is a wooden deck from Artwox on,PEs from Revell (Eduard) and the main gun barrels are from RB.
Its around 70% done.
There are a lot of details missing the paint work needs still perfection.
Its the first attempt to detail a warship in 1/700.

Hope you like this one

Best Regards
Bernd

Thank you Todd, i am glad you like it. Progress is very slow, because of the fiddly detail work but its fun.

I have no special KM paints used, the pictures from the ship, in an norwegian fjord inspired me for this choice of paints.
The contrast is maybe too high and i will downgrade this.
Currently the boats give me fits while painting

There is also a U.S.S New Jersey 1/700 (Trumpeter)and an Aoshima Nagato 1/700 in the works.

If i am in the mood for a special step, everything is here.

I think the contrast looks just fine my friend! Seeing some of the ships in period photos have a large contrast between the Hellgrau 50 and Dark Grey.

Bring on the New Jersey and Nagato!! Sounds like a lot of fun happening around the ship yard!!

Hi Todd, thanks again for this positive feedback, i will do post both quite soon, got wooden decks for both and the Nagato will have a PE set from/for the Fujimi Nagato, we will see, if this will work.
The plan is to do a nice Battleship Row with different Navys.

The paint job of Tirpitz was inspired or better based on pictures like that:

So much to come, here

Hi Bernd,

Looking very good, great attention to detail. Agree with Todd the contrast on the Camouflage looks about right.

Looking forward to seeing more from you,

Cheers

Hi Simon, thank you very much for your compliment. Yes more soon to come. The build is, thanks to the scale, quite fiddly so prograss is slow.
Managed yesterday the paint work of the main gun barrels, upperside dark gray, underside in a lighter shade, RAL 7001, which is Revells 374 color.

Kind Regards
Bernd

Bernd,

Your Tirpitz looks outstanding. Such great work on such a small scale.

Look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Hi Dave, thank you very much and you will see pretty soon more to come.
May news from TP or from other Naval projects i have on or beside the bench.
Its also time to have some thoughts about a proper looking rigging in this scale. Won t go with stretched sprues anymore.

Best Regards
Bernd
