I came across an fascinating website recently entitled, ”Armoured Aircraft Carriers in World War II” which tells, “the untold story of the Royal Navy's struggle to invent carrier warfare.”

Thanks for the heads up!

Now all we need is a kit maker with the kahunas to release a RN flat top in 1/350.

Not that I begrudge fans of other navies, but seems there's lots of new flat top releases in 1/350 for many other periods and navies, but ships such as the WW2 Ark Royal and WW2 Illustrious which consistently top out the most wanted polls, keep getting overlooked by the kit manufacturers! Sigh.

A magnificent site crammed with information about the Royal Navy during the second world war. It goes to redress the balance and show the world that the Americans weren't the only ones to engage the Imperial Japanese Navy.
