Just checked up on my order from hobbylinc and it looks like my 1/350 fletcher just shipped today, should have it within a week. So excited!

so far its coming along nicely. I am having a hard time with painting the hull, but it seems to be ok. Its been a good learning experiance for future models though unfortunatly that means it will come out decent but not as nice as I would have hoped for, but hey, first i tried so what can ya do right? I have most of the superstructure done, put a bunch of hours into this one already and most of the biger features I put together tonight. Will probably be done within a few dayts to a week, depending on how things pan out.

History Channel had a pretty good "Heavy Metal" on the Fletcher Class tonight, it might be rebroadcast at midnight CST (in 7 min)

Might have to add this one to my growing 350 scale collection. So far I've only built the big boys, but last week due to a hobby lobby half off sale I bought one of those Aegis class Cruisers to go with my Enterprise and Nimitz (when it is finally released)

when painting the deck color, what exactly does it mean when it says xf 10:1 + xf 52:2. Note these are random paints i chose since its not in front of me right now. Is it saying to mix the two colors in said ratio or to do one wash of one then 2 of the other?

It is mixing in said ratio (so 1 part of XF-10 to two parts of XF-52)... (or at least I hope so, otherwise I have been screwing up bigtime ).
