Ok, link to the product. It isn't visible in the shop as I haven't displayed it to the public.

My 1/48 Life Raft Containers arrived today. They are truly superior to anything I could have accomplished with my own attempts in plastic or resin. They look the part on the loosely fitted together LCM – and future 50’ workboat. It will be some time before I actually get around to constructing this vessel. I plan to do the 1/72 version before this one but it even that boat must wait behind a line of tanks, AAVs and couple planes.
Another item that may be easier produced and better rendered with 3D printing is the watertight hatch, mooring cleats and stairs. I am still working on the LVTA5 drawings but may draw up more boat fittings for these projects. Thanks for offering your talents, this is hugely helpful.

Thanks for showing what it looks like. First time I've actually ever seen it in plastic. Could I use it as a picture on the product?

Absolutely. If you would like I could take a couple pics of the parts by themselves so they are the center of attention. I'll do the same layout when the 1/72 pieces arrive.
Thanks again, these things saved me a massive headache of a task.

It's OK. I'll just use the pictures here. For you modern ship guys, I've been working on a set of 1/700 Mk 29 GMLS launchers too. I'm just about finished. Just a few more details to add. I've designed enough detail to make it scale able up to 1/350 but hopefully it's printable at 1/700. I've also designed it so that the launcher unit can be rotated up and down into any position. There's only about .3-.5mm in between the two parts, the base and rod connecting the launch units, so it'll be a tight fit. The two launchers are connected via, basically, a tongue and groove join so that they are symmetrical.

Here's some pictures of the products. They are still not finished and require a few more details to be added. In the case of the torpedoes, it's actually a lot more details that need to be added. And the propellers need to be resized.

I've finished drawing the Mk 29 launcher. Now I just need to pattern it out and make some instruction for it.

I guess people are more excited for the torpedoes than the launchers?

The Mk 29 GMLS set I can scale up to 1/35 or 1/48 or 1/72 or so if anyone wants. If so it will be provided as a single or a double set with missiles. I'll make the tube covers separate pieces and include a interior to the tubes along some RIM-7 missiles.

I had to update the Mk 29 model because Shapeways couldn't print part of it. I'm reuploading the updated model and the updated instruction booklet.

I have to update the Mk 29 GMLS set again. It will be some time before that can happen though. I will be taking down the post in the mean time. I also had to update the Mk 6 depth charges set. I finally finished the update an dyou will be getting more on the same size wafer including rows of charges preformed for launchers and holding racks. Along with 66 single charges.

This may be a stretch but how about well deck details? Interior details of well decks for the various Amphibs - LHA, LSD and LPD in 1/700. Definitely not something I have real item measurements for but I do have all the vessels in scale. Nearly all of my info as far as photos I gain from marines.mil and navy.mil sites.

I'm not so sure. And me some pictures of the stuff you want and I'll see if it can be done.

I might be able to. I'm not sure. Kind of along similar lines as the well decks. I'll keep it mind though. What kind of superstructure parts by the way?

I finished the Mk. 13 torpedoes model. I will upload it and see if it can be printed. I will probably change it around a bit before I finalize it and put it in the shop.

I have good news and some not bad but not good news. The good news: I finally finished updating the Mk 29 GMLS set (again) and uploaded it! I hope this time is the final time I have to re-upload it as a result of a bad print. The platform on the rear of the launcher had to be removed.

The bad news: I recently discovered that I am not finished with the torpedoes just yet. The frame I made for them turned out to be too thin to print. Now I have to go back in a thicken every... Single... Part of the frame. Even after I do that it might be too small as it would only be aboug 0.5mm thick. So I may need to go around and thicken all of the exterior edge frames. It's a small model but this may just drive the price up quite a ways... At least you'll get 36 total torpedoes for that. Half with drag nose and tail rings on and half without. All have the torpedo mounts for a TBD though. I can't take this feature off without taking it off the entire model. Does anyone have any opinions on this feature? The TBD torpedo mount?

I've started working on a Mk 7 depth charge set. It will be in the same placement style as the Mk 6 set. Should be finished by tonight.
