Title says it all. I have seen the turret tops a dark red (usually depicted with the full baltic stripes). I have seen them yellow and i have seen them dark grey. So anyone sure on what they were when she sailed on her mission? I think they painted them at same time they reduced the baltic stripes to just the hull

They were dark grey when she departed on her final voyage. The other colours were recognition markings in the Baltic, where there was friendly air.

All the research i've done pretty much indicates a dark gray. So that is what i am going with. Have to remove too many things to go with yellow....if they were ever painted that way. Hey may have briefly been painted red but not verified
