Well, that's a very nice 1:1 scale VW you're working on there Warren!
Great progress on the Hikawa Maru-nice,clean work as always.
Will be watching to see how you go with the windows-The Titanic residing in my stash will no doubt require similar treatment
Windows in this much easier than the Titanic. I removed all those windows and added PE stuff when I built my 1/400 one. That is in a museum in Qld now and I have a 1/350 one in the stash.
All I did was place a tiny amount of black in the window depression then later on dry-brush the frames to make them stand out. You won't see much of them anyway as they are under another deck.
I spent a few hours on the bench today. added the lower part of the main superstructure, with those windows..
Then I started on the aft superstructure as the bits for the next two steps were drying after being painted.
And here are the painted bits.
That's it for the moment except for the winches I added to the foredeck after they dried. Photos later.
