Hello;
I am building the Glencoe USS Oregon and was following a very good online build here at model shipwrights, but after the garbage photobucket pulled it is no longer available. My main question was in the photo of Oregon in drydock there seems to be a secondary rail higher around the bow. I was wondering what that was. The Toms PE doesn't show this.

Hi Bill
Can you post the picture? Based on what you described, my guess is that the "secondary rail" is a frame for a sunshade awning. These temporary fittings were removable, so it would still be accurate if you left these off your model!

Yea I did find another pic that showed the tarps that cover over. thanks for the info. Would you know what size anchor chain to use on this ship?
