This is one of christmas holiday builds.
I tried to backdate the kit to May of 1941 instead of Battle of Malaya, the kit comes for. More specifically beginning of Battle of Denmark strait, there will be accompaning Bismarck coming sometime..
I do need help with rigging, scheme or pictures how it was arranged would be most appreciated.
aluminium foil waves
drilled main gun muzzles, sorry for terrible pic
multi piece deck with attempted plank ends
scratched pom-pom as one decided to go ballistic and to be never found again, didn't end needing it anyway
mostly assembled
base gray
details
weathered hull, and gloss coated base
more bits and bobs
aand madness ensues
and wire didn't work for longer lenghts, stretched sprue did however work very well
done
changed base to darker tone, needs gloss

Nice build, I always liked a painted deck.

Glad you like the waves, but i have discarded them and made new, toilet paper waves ontop.
Also painted signal flags and added rigging.
coat of mix of pva, water and some paint. To harden, blend the white and blue and give slight gloss to waves.

Despite calling her done, i have added name plaque which i had completely forgotten was included. Only found it when i decided to build the included planes.
The plaque was painted and given black wash on gray to bring letter out, then glued.
Also another low angle shot in natural light, showing a bit of outside weather

I wasnt entirely happy with the water before, but I bought some gel medium today. After testing it, it just looks much better. I will be doing the surface over with the gel when i get the chance.
