Thanks Tim... whoaooooooo...this is going to be one big honker of a kit in 1/200 scale. Almost $600 "smackers" for this baby!

Hasn't this been announced, and a test shot on display at a model/toy show from months ago? Controversy over bow shape - possibly too much rake!

I also would like to see a good, detailed pic of the bow. The rest looks pretty good from what I've seen.

reports are conflicting: some say there's way too much rake on the bow, others say it's a photographic distortion.
Yet others say Trumpeter have mirrored the hull, when in reality, many doors, plating and portholes were asymmetrical.
Only time will tell as physical examples become available.

This is the best (and only) profile view so far, and it's taken from slightly higher than deck level. The stem certainly displays too much rake, but that may be because of the angle, and a wide-angle lens. Click on the model picture for enlargement:

Oh baby!!! Is this my next build??!!
A whopping 53 inches long! Holy Shi-batz-bah!! Clear the decks baby, I'm coming in for a landing!
And OMG, it's only a pre-order price of 400 clams...I suppose I don't need to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner for the next month or three. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions, decisions.
I'd love to see this with a detailed interior of the boilers and engine rooms, but that's just me.

400 clams (USD) and 53"s!
Too rich for my wallet! I'll stick with the Minicraft kit in 1/350. Only 200 yabbies (AUD )

Hehe just preordered mine with the LED lighting set for "just" 320 EURO inclusive shipping. Dealer said it is expected to arrive end of july
I did read somewhere that Pontos is planning a big set for it, too.

320Euros/$520AUD for the kit! Lord knows how much the Pontos set would be, then the paint... Aargh!!
At my build rate, that's my next 20years of model making gone and I'd end up in the S.A.B.L.E. zone (Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy)

Russell that build log will need to wait until PONTOS released their upgrade set. If I build this one I want to use their stuff for it, too.

If it means we get to watch you apply your excellent skills to the Titanic, we will wait too

I wonder who will be the first to have a "hold my beer" moment and do the sunken wreck version...

Hi, Russ and Everyone Else!
Nooo... Not for THIS boy! Nearly $600.00, (Never mind all of the EXTRA "goodies" that are bound to follow) is a bit too "rich" for me...
For those "Lucky Few" who can afford this kit, "More Power To You"!!!

yep, outta my league too throw in the aftermarket and paint and it'd be up around the $1000 mark.
That's a lot of 1/72 aircraft kits!!!
