Too bad about the missing details in the Kit. But I'd have never known unless you mentioned it...

Hopefully with the extra time you are able to make more progress

It is so vexing when model companies miss whole structures! Maybe it reflects changes that were made on the real ship at some point?

Those goofy wheel things with lines below them on the bridge structure are strange... I wonder what they are meant to represent??

Russell - Thanks. I am trying to improve my PE skills and glue application, I am normally pretty messy. I have Daniel to thank for the missing structures, he pointed it out in a previous post. Glad he did though!!

Tim - I agree, it is a pain in the hind end when they miss strucures. I can understand a door but to miss four or five structures I'll get it figured out I hope!! The goofy wheel things represent hand wheels that are positioned at the base of the bridge. They will be replaced with PE. Not sure what they control but....

Jan - Thanks, I know your time is a lot more limited than mine... real life is such a pain at times.

Mark - LOL, I'm not sure anyone can surpas Si with regards to PE, he is the king on this site. I do continue my pursuit of catching up though!!

Hi Dave,

Aoshima did some things wrong or even simply left them out; I think you need to scratch all of these parts. I built this out of different recycled etched parts from my stash and evergreen polystyrene material.
Note also that the vents/openings also wrong (wrong shape)

Top class Brass work Dave, build has cracked on since I last looked in, Great stuff.

Daniel - I was afraid of that, to be honest this obstacle has put a damper on my build but then again so did going back to working six days a week.. Thanks for pointing out these issues, to be honest not sue I would have seen them without it.

Si - Thank you - really loving the build with the one exception of the missing details that Daniel and I have been discussing.

Not a whole lot of work has been done these past two weeks - hoping to get some quality time this weekend.
