Bismarcks bottom hull colour

What is the best red colour to use for the bottom hull on the bismarck.same one told me to order schiffsbodenfarbe III rot 5 but its brown not red any help thanks

Take my advice if you like. I don't care what the actual colors were on any particular ship,tank,plane. I use what looks good to me at times, other times I use the "matched" color if available. I like Model Master II's British Crimson for anti-fouling red for all my ships.....Mike T

I used Humbrol Hull Red when I built mine years ago. You can also mix your own to approximate the desired shade. Don't go crazy over finding an exact color lot number or manufacturer. Remember, this is a hobby and we do this for fun and relaxation.

I've used MM Insignia red and Tamiya red and Humbrol hull red....it's all relative
