I just received notification that my back ordered Revell U-boat shipped !!!!!!!!! (Tower Hobbies for $39) Then another email from great models saying they had just gotten a restock of the Nautiless wood decking for it and notification of some different conning tower sits to modify. Man-0-man is this going to be fun. God I hope I can resist all the goodies out there for this kit. such as 4 sets of CMK figures, that Modelbrass PE set. Someone else is doing gun tubes and periscopes out of turned aluminium.

aaargh!

all these da** aftermarket items!!!! (just kidding)

ahhh venting over.

Seriously, I'm looking to build this big guy myself, still trying to decide between OOB or adding all the bells and whistles, and after reading this post, I discovered even MORE bell and whistles!

Let us know how you like the wood decking- that sounds like a nice aftermarket item- wash it, sand it down a little, Has to look a million times better than plastic....

Hmmm, maybe another big project to add to my list, after the 1/35 railgun, 1/450 Akagi, 1540 Forrestal.....
