Or Pagota superstructure that went wild!
I was looking through some of my old models in storage when I found this! A wasp had built a nest on top of the main mast of my 1/700 Kongo class battleship. I thought what the heck is this!
LOL! it sure looks funny on there! Here's the pic's.
Hope you enjoy this odd ball.
Cheers
Garry

Actually that isn't a Japanese weapon, its an American weapon created to envelop the ships superstructure, eliminating the chain of command and causing mass calamity!
In reality, what kind of damage did that do to your model?

now that is incredible. I had to deal with Hornets once in my modeling room, but once I got fed up with spraying them individually with spray and wash and bombed the place that ended that. You ought send that in to Fine Scale Modeler. Also be interested in knowing if you decide to recover ship how the results come out.

Fortunately it looks like a mud wasp so perhaps soaking the hive in water to make it dissolve. Use some canned air or your air brush and compressor to blow away the remnants.

Hi Steve!
I think I will dispose of the model. Thats what I was doing when I found it. I was going through my storage models, some are realy old. And with missing parts, I was thinning them out to make space. But I think if I was going to save it, Sabots idea of soaking it in water would be the idea to try. Swabby wasp, LOL!
Cheers,
Garry
