Hi all...
Do you know of American Civil War Subs in 1/35 or 1/32, appart from the following brands:
- Verlinden (HL Hunley)
- Cottage Industries Models (HL Hunley, CSS David and Pioneer)
Trying to find a USS Alligator - the other option is scratchbuiling!!
Thanks for any help provided!
Skipper

Hi Steve
Yes you're right! The Turtle is my current project... The "Quiet Professionals" Campaign was a good excuse to build it
I saw a few months ago a USS Alligator scratchbuild by member Bob Santos - it's in Armorama Gallery.
But asked in the forum, because I don't know all manufacturers and this cry for help could be heard by someone.
Just another comment on USS Alligator models that I have seen, so far:
Lone Star Models have a 1/72 scale model of the paddled/oared version (I have one in the stack);
On the Find the Alligator website there's a 1/32 scale model, also scratchbuild by... (don't remeber the name of the modeler), also of the paddled/oared version and
Finnaly Bob Santos (a very fine modeler and Gentleman) scratchbuild the "final" version of the Alligator as it sunk - a cranck powered version with a propeler!
I wish I had such skills

there are a buch of guys around here that did a huge series oof civil war iron clads. Most I think were scratch built. I am not all that familiar with anything prior to WW 1 so I was fascinated by the display.
