Howdy Darryl,

Even though I'm a BIG fan of the "Run silent, run deep" moniker (just loved the film). If you want my Farthing's worth, I have always liked the idea of adding the 'human' factor to naming things instead of the Hollywood 'drama-queen' , or Random House Publishing version of placing a name on something.
Hence I've leaned towards what a real person would say or exclaim in that situation..........
Similar to my "Incoming!!!" campaign slogan/title

So, hate it or like it, my suggestion for your Sub Campaign is.....

" Dive!,..Dive...Dive!!! "

or something like that.....

Once the Campaign gets going, you can just simply refer to it as the "DDD!" Campaign.....

Dive Dive Dive is nice....so is...."Up Periscope" or (an all time fav) "Damn the Torpedos" , or "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea"

Nice choice's kglack. Again, something someone would actually say......"Up Periscope" is a good one. The 20,000 remark is good too, but the 'feel' is more fantasy/sci-fi to me.....but then, what do I know?

but I had to agree with "Up Periscope"

DDD sounds great....it can be imagined as Dive,Dive,Dive and also Deep,Deeper,Deepest

run silent, run deep 1st, under the sea second, underwater warriors 3rd

I'll cast my vote for Up Periscope. And for the record "damn the torpedoes....." was said by Admiral Farragut at the Civil War battle of Mobile Bay. he was refering to mines which were called torpedoes back then.

Ya know, since I've 'owe' the wet side of the site something in the form of a ship/boat/vessel.......I've got this Dragon 1/350th scale U.S.S. Ohio sitting on the shelf, dated 1994 that I could put together for this 'Shindig'......

Well, "Operation Petticoat" comes to mind..... #:-) However, as for the names mentioned, "Under the Sea" sounds good, also "Run Silent, Run Deep" sounds good. Anything's good, as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for your time.

Tread I think you are starting to come around to the wet side. Just remember, a battleship is the King Tiger of the seas or was it the tank is the battleship on the ground...no matter, I like it all !!!

Okay Guys, I think I ended up with more suggestions than I did actual votes. It was hard to tell if some of you were voting or merely commenting, so I went ahead and added the additional suggestions (now 17) to my initial post, and so this doesn't get too out of hand, I feel compelled to stop the list with what we now have...

There are some awesome suggestions, so narrow your favorites down to one or two and in no uncertain terms let me know what they are and in what order...
