That's wonderful news. But does anyone know if there is a plan to also release the EA-6B Prowler in 1/350? It is conspicuous by its absence.

well, the WEM sets are for trumpeter kits, so if a prowler is absent, talk to them

bummer i misread the flash and thought that WEM was going to start making some different aircraft so we could perhaps backate our Lexingtons without semi-scratch building. As to the arcraft PE sets, both Toms and GMM make sets that cover all these aircraft....including the Intruders

What I meant was that I don't think that anyone but Tamiya (in their two different plane sets) actually makes an EA-6B Prowler. While I doubt I'd ever go back and replace the entire CVW-11 I did for my 1/350 Tamiya Enterprise with the much better Trumpeter planes, it wouldn't make sense to replace all the planes except the Prowler. Just not sure why Trumpter didn't include the Prowler in their line.

Speculation is that they will release it with an F/A- 18 when they release a more modern version of the Nimitz or a sister ship.

I'll probably use an Prowler or two from the Tamiya stuff and modfy it with Intruder parts from the Trumpeter set. But that's a way down the road
