I've seen the photo's and they look spectacular. But, if you put them in your uboat, you aren't gona see them unless you do major surgery and slice open a big hole in your hull. I heard they were also going to do an engine room. Maybe they'll make a super kit with the complete interior and have a clear plastic replacement piece. So lets see. Cost of kit $50, get the modelbrass decks/grills $40, get Steve Nuttals barrels, periscope and shafts $25 the top of pressue hull $25 figue the interior (3 main rooms plus mess and sleeping areas)with plastic hull at $150. You've got close to $300 in it and replaced half the kit. Nautilas also has a replacement conning tower that has the wintergarten on it for probably $75.

HOOVIE:
Squadron lists them as in stock as of Feb. 25. They have illustrations of the kits but I don't think they are actual photos....
Check "what's new" and scroll down to Feb. 25. LOoks like $50 a pop...

Actually CMK is making FIVE resin sets for extra detailing your U-boat!!
Just in these sets US$250 and then the all other extras that you can buy....
And I thought (almost ten years ago) that the Amati U-47 Type VII-B U-boot was really expensive!!
I have spend almost (or more - I don't want to know the amount!!) the same...

This is the kit of the year for 2004. Worldwide popularity and I,m betting it has the record for most aftermarket kits made for a single type item. I', not talking about multiple variations/types, just replacement stuff for improving the basic kit. It's almost at a poit you can just buy aftermarket and skip the kit. still waiting for that clear hull set :-)
