Oh yes! I heard about this one and I want it! This is Hasegawa's first venture into the 1/350 scale area, and I hope it is a sign of things to come!
Thanks for posting Dave!

Hummmm...
This could be good! Have anyone saw pics of the real model (and not just the box illustration)?

They certainly wouldn't have any reason for detail errors, the Mikasa still exists as a museum, with her hull encased in concrete. Kind of makes you wonder how she survived WWII.
For any non naval history geeks the Mikasa was the flagship of Admiral Togo at the battle of Tsushima where he flew the Z signal, " The fate of the Empire depends on your actions"similar to Nelson's England Expects signal. That signal was also flown by the Akagi at Pearl Harbor.

This would be a very intersting kit to have on the shelf.

Thanks Rodger.... I find it interesting she was encased in concrete. I guess it's a good way to cut down on hull rot, and upkeep.

An interesting subject but to me what is exciting is perhaps another player in the 350 scale game. They manufactured a lot of the early 700 scale ships back in the 70's
