hi all my name is Roger , i am new to these forums ;-)
i am a hobby 3d modeller , i make planes and modern ships and
submarines and hovercraft in 3d max modelling software

i am looking for , notably -
hms ocean , the carriers invincible ,illustrious , ark royal etc
also any of the modern frigates and support vessels - Albion etc
the type of plan drawings i am looking for are as per these

i have thoroughly searched the web and have found it very
difficult to find the plans i need of the uk surface fleet for 3d
max modelling .

Any help would be gratefully appreciated .
i collect schematic line drawings of planes , ships and tanks and
have 6 gigabytes of pictures backed up on dvd , so if i can help
anybody out in return with any schematic line drawings , please
feel free to ask and i will gladly do my best to help out free of
charge , i have broadband and can easily email pics to fellow

hobby modellers .

Can't help you with the plans Troffmeister, I've only got earlier ships, battleships. Welcome to Armormama though, the friendliest modeling site on the web. If anybody has any of those plans, I'm sure they're get them to you.

i have already made a usa nimitz class carrier , lhd tarawa and russian kiev and baku carriers in 3d max

and i intend to add in alot of other ships , for example modern uss new jersey , iowa etc - the modern big usa battleship versions that fired the cruise missiles etc before they were mothballed .

also iwill be making the modern escorts like the triconderoga class and others etc .

basically i am creating a modern battlefleet diorama in 3max of usa and russian modern ships and also some civilian traffic - eg container ships and some super oil tankers etc along with military hovercraft and subs

if you can help out on any of these areas that would be fantastic

Troffmeister Rodger. I sure would like to see what you have on the Nimitz. I recently obtained the 350 scale model of her, and any interesting pictures/drawings etc would be of interest for me. Sorry I can't help with plans I know there are some companies that sell them to modelers as there are guys that scratch out some really BIG models (192nd scale battleships)
