Went to only my second modeling club meeting last night. They were having their first auction in a while. Mostly wingy thingies but they had a few boats, targets the air guys called them. Nobody else was bidding on them so I got a Airfix 1/600 HMS Hood for a buck, also a Revell 1/720 USS Arizona, and a Revel 1/480 USS Yorktown. Each for only $1. So I'm covered for both the Dreadnought and Flattop campaigns.

Oh, Blaster, some guy got the 1/350 Nimitz for $60.

Dang Rodger thats just like a early Christmas! You scored big bud! And the Nimitz went for 60 bucks? WOW! Just like the good ol days when they gave you free dishes to buy there gas for .20 cents per gallon!

$60 hunh. Damn and I sure could have used another one.... :-)

Mine was a Christmas gift from my rich Lawyer sister. Still waiting on my $80 Lexington. It was shipped parcel post a week ago. Beginning to fret but will wait 'til Saturday before I start waving the red flag and contacting the seller
