Any of you guys built this beast? Hobby Lobby is stocking some different kits and one of the stores in town have two Lindbergh PT 109 in 1/32 scale. The box rivals the BIG B1 bomber box in size, meaning it's a pretty huge box. I couldn't find a price on them, but if they're still around at the next half off sale I might have to give one some thought. The box says it comes motorized, and can be converted into RC by the modeler. The box pictures don't look half bad.

Ciao Halfyank,
I can tell you that Squadron frequently has the same model on sale. Might be cheaper going that route. I don't know anything about it other than that. Sorry.
Ciao for now

I understand it is an excellent pool companion. As for accuracy/quality well I've never seen one enteed in a model contest but it's been around a looonnnngggg time so I would say if you like RC boats, this is what I would buy.

I guess I'll pass on this one then Jeffry. I know the Lindberg HMS Hood is for more bathtub toy than scale model, and not even good as a toy. I thought this would look good on top of my bookcase, but it sounds like too much money, effort, and space taken for what I'd want to spend.

Thanks for the update on it.
