Howdy Rui, and Good Mornin' to ya,

Thx much for the links, they will be helpful

As usual with any 'deep' research, the 80/20 Rule applies.....
for every 80% of effort you apply, you get 20% results. What I mean by that is; that I have to go through a lot of pics to find just oneeeeeee wee 'gem' I can really use......but when you find that gem, it 's really quite satisfying.....

From what research I've been able to garner on the Choctaw and/or the Lafayette, they were resupplied via the rear deck where the access doors/hatches were located. Every other surface of the ship was sealed up except for the crew areas located in the protected rear of the ship between the two massive, armoured paddlewheel casemates.
So, believe it or not, this configuration actually plays into the design I've had in mind in regards to the interaction betwix the ship itself and the dock. Where I am still exercising my creative juices is regarding the railcar placement/interaction.........

One can never fully appreciate the size of the vessel or guns until you see a photo like that. You can only imagine the din created when the rounds slammed into the armor plate....

I can't wait to see your finished project Tread, I'm beginning to develope a real interest in these ships.
