Here are a few more Naval links. The Old Hands may know of all of these, but I thought maybe some of the folks just starting out in naval subjects could use them.

Navy Fact File

Naval Vessel Register

US Navy Digital Images

Haze Gray

Nav Source

They're pretty much US Navy focused, I'll see if I can find some non-US Navy sites.

Hazegray is a great one. Another good one is www.combinedfleet.com If you ever run out of ideas on ship models check out the link to Admiral Furashita's fleet. http://www.combinedfleet.com/furashita/furamain.htm

Here is an example. Note the FOUR main gun turrets.

Here's another that I just found while looking for information regarding closed feed systems on Destroyers.

You didn't find that one on hazegray? It's listed there also. Check out that map of the US. Several landlocked states, like Nebraska, have historic ships on display. I keep meaning to do a road trip to Omaha to see them.

*sheepish look* No, I found it by doing a search on web ferret....

Well when you go to Omaha, let me know. I've been wantingto go as well. I knew about the mine sweeper and the landing craft, but not the sub.

The LSM and Marlin look to be in sad shape. I hope that they've done somthing to them since that photo was taken.

If this has been posted before or linked to a page already listed, I apologize.
