Hi to all!
I'm back again with a new question.

After my M.T.M (1/72th scale) i'd like to scratchbuild another piece of histroy of Italian Navy: the "Grillo", the first assault naval vessel in the world. (with sister "Locusta", "Cavalletta" and "Pulce").

At this moment i'm stiil evaluating the scale (1/72th or 1/144th?) and seeking a lot of documentation.

This link is for the photo of Grillo (Sorry: the page is in italian):

http://www.museotecniconavale.it/vg_sale/02salonept/pagine/grillo.htm

Someone can help me? Thank for the answer.
Bye...

Ciao Ripley!

Bienvenuto un altra volta

About the grillo, there are two sketches of it in Paul Kemp's "Midget Submarines" but they arent any better than the profiles on the Museo page... Sorry

I'll check my reference to see if any further info can be supplyed...

Could you post soem pictures of your Motoscafo?

Auguri per te,

Skipper

It looks pretty simple in design. The trick will be to get correct measurents. Torpedoes can be robbed from a 72nd scale kit, there are some aftermarket ones made for the Revell u-boot kit, but I thnk sub torpedoes are different from ones on a surface ship.

Hi to all.
The true problem is the chain (named Galles) and the fact that there are only few photos of this vessel.
in two italian museums (Milano and Venezia) the are two big pieces of the Grillo. (bow).
However soon I'll start to draw the plan for this kit by the documents that I have.

For the torpedoes, I have to create them because there aren't just ready in commerce.
;)
Bye and thank for your answer.
