Hey Boris,
I like it a lot! I really like those contrasting sections in the hull. Wonder what that says that's been painted on the hull in the original photo?

Nice one yet again!

Hi Boris!

The Akula looks very good!
Would you like to comment the quality of Alanger subs?
Are they as good as it is stated on their website about accuracy!

Hi Skipper,

The quality of the kit is Ok. It is not as good as Kursk from Zwezda, but far better that some other manufacturers. It obviously has lack for fine details but it also left the room for improovements. With some effort the kit could be converted into really nice model.

I will post some pictures of unbuild kit and comments shortly.

The accuracy of the model compare with real sub is something I am not very good at. I have some really good drawings and some things do not match. Unfortunatelly I do not have any pictures of this boat in dry dock, but I am sure we will have some comments from other modellers.

Also, we need keep in mind that there were few major improovements for Akula class since it was introduced. So we better talk about particular sub/hull.

I am going to put some reference matherials on my site too.

By the by, I have number of this kits for sale. I am in Germany, so for guys in EU it makes sence.

I could sent the kit to US or Canada if you really could not wait.
